I was working with Mikael from the late 2012 to summer 2013 in connection with restructuring the Estonian national air carrier Estonian Air. Mikael was part of the restructuring team which was brought in to turn quickly deteriorating Estonian Air around.

Mikael was instrumental in this quest. He was quickly taking control of some of the most complex issues while staying calm, forward-looking and positive. Mikael dealt with the technical part of the operations, with the fleet issues and he was also leading difficult negotiations with the trade unions. He and his team was delivering quick and convincing results.

I particularly appreciated Mikael’s attention to the details, “can-do” attitude and clarity in communication. It was great and stimulating to work with him!
